Launch Systems
Harpelsan designs and fabricates a variety of launch systems used to initiate flight in Missile Systems or provide assisted takeoff capability for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). These systems include gas generators, launch catapults, and rocket motors. Gas generators use pyrotechnics to rapidly generate a large quantity of gas, providing the thrust required to propel objects. Launch catapults use stored kinetic energy to similar effect. Launch rocket motors are used by missile systems to expel the missile from launch tubes, creating safety separation between the missile and launch platform before flight motors deploy.
