The Harpelsan Reconfigurable Integrated-weapons Platform (RIwP) provides a system that is readily adapted to the ever changing mission scenarios encountered by the modern warfighter. This next generation remote turret offers overmatch capabilities in Land, Sea, and Air battle environments. A wide array of Turkish missiles and non-lethal effects can be combined with direct fire weapons ranging from small to medium caliber, to provide the most effective combination of arms for any combat situation.
The dual axis stabilized weapon platform is directed by either a single or dual axis independently stabilized sight system to maximize first round hit probability and reduce target engagement times while stationary or on the move. The weapon systems are reloadable under-armor, thereby combining maximum crew protection with continuous fire capability. Sights and missiles are available in armored configurations.
Networked fire-control ready configuration provides “slew-to-cue” and “rate-aiding” capability which enhances the land tactical commander’s ability to execute complex, dispersed and high tempo operations at reduced risk. In addition, the advanced Fire Control System allows impact of multiple weapon munitions simultaneously, optimizing the element of surprise.
The Ukrainian Skif ATGM was installed on the module developed by the Turkish company, after which a number of launches were carried out missiles at various targets. Ukrainian designers from the Luch Design Bureau reported that during the tests all missiles successfully hit their targets, and foreign partners were satisfied with the results.
Ankara sells to Kyiv Drones, systems Defense and other weapons and military equipment. Türkiye also offers the Ukrainian Armed Forces remote-controlled combat modules. The Ukrainian portal Defense Express tells about this area of military-technical cooperation between the two countries. The RCWS combat modules supplied by Turkey for export from the Turkish company ASELSAN use a wide range of machine guns, automatic cannons, grenade launchers and anti-tank missiles. missiles. Their configuration depends on the user's requirements. These weapons are installed on a wide variety of land and sea platforms.
For example, a representative of the medium-caliber family of NEFER combat modules is equipped with an automatic cannon of 25 or 30 mm caliber. It is also possible to integrate 7,62 and 12,7 mm machine guns. When delivered to Ukraine, it is planned to equip it with a 30-mm automatic cannon ZTM-1 or ZTM-2.
In order to provide timely support to its customers, ASELSAN opens production facilities and service centers around the world. A subsidiary of the Turkish manufacturer ASELSAN Ukraine, which has opened in Ukraine, will, among other things, manufacture and service ASELSAN remote-controlled combat modules. Similar products from this manufacturer are supplied to other post-Soviet republics. For example, last spring, a Turkish company agreed to supply modules to Kazakhstan.
